Originating in India, the ancient traditional medical science of Ayurveda is a way of life itself, and this short course will teach you how to practice this ancient science to live a wholesome life.
Based on natural principles, Ayurveda suggests that our bodies are made up of five basic natural elements- Earth, Water, Fire, Air and Space. A harmony of these elements leads to holistic Health whereas any disharmony between these leads to illnesses. We interact with these five elements through our five senses- namely smell, taste, vision, touch and hearing. Our food is also made of these five elements and thus it’s important to understand which food can be wholesome and complete for us, which in turn is based on our own constitution.
Ayurveda is essentially holistic as it transcends the bodily realm to encompass the mental and spiritual dimensions. We also come across key and important knowledge here including how to maintain mental health and how to stay spiritually connected.
