Overview

The last year has been challenging for the strongest amongst us as we have tried to navigate the new normal, including working from home. There has been an alarming rise in mental anxiety and demotivation amongst teams everywhere. As part of our wellness series, we are proud to introduce this fascinating session on Balanced Yoga designed to help teams to relax, rejuvenate and find inner peace.

Yoga finds its origin in India and has been recognised for its holistic healing power and its significance in achieving a stress-free life. Yoga master Sreejith who hails from the breathtaking state of Kerala (rightfully nicknamed God's own country) is an International teacher who will teach you to use a unique approach combining stretches, breath control routines, and methods to achieve deep relaxation. 


Balanced Yoga = Stretches + Breathing control + Deep relaxation


Stretches 

Although the stretches or asanas in yoga are ideally meant to slowly stretch the muscles and limbs of the body as well as improve your posture and balance, there are modern versions that can have you sweating it out just as much as any cardio workout. Yoga can improve your heart health, reduce respiratory problems and relieve stress, with regular practice leading to a sense of clarity and mental calmness.
During this session, participants will be introduced to a unique combination of basic yogic asanas which will release stiffness from the body and offer flexibility and relaxation.

Breathing Control

You will also be taken through a few 'Pranayama' exercises which are meant to enhance the free flow of life energy within you. Along with balancing the sympathetic and asympathetic nervous system, these breath control exercises also improve your lungs, heart health and immunity.


Deep Relaxation


This will then be followed by a deep relaxation technique called Yoga Nidra, which is aimed to tune your brain into a unique frequency best suited for visualisation. You will be guided through a visualisation method of creating a self-image of good health, blissfulness and harmony. This is a scientific yogic method of creating your true wellbeing, using the manifestation power of your subconscious mind. The session ends with a short meditation.

Your Presenter

  Sreejith Balakrishnan

Yoga master Sreejith hails from Kerala in the South of India and was introduced to Mantra yoga as a child by his grandfather. His passion to explore yogic science took him to various masters across India. He spent time with many Gurus in Varanasi and Rishikesh. He was introduced to the Bihar School of Yoga by Sri. Shirish Gupta and initiated to the Ancient Kriya Yoga by renowned Guru Sadhguru Jaggi Vasudev of Isha Yoga Foundation.

Over the past 16 years Sreejith has taught Yoga to thousands of learners around the world. From conducting Yoga workshops  to learners in remote villages in India to international audiences in the USA, U.K, Germany, South America, Maldives and the mountain resorts in St. Lucia, his sessions have benefitted thousands.


How it works

The session accommodates upto 100 attendees. Price mentioned is based on the minimum booking size of 50 attendees, charged at £15 per person (For larger groups and bespoke requirements, please contact us).   Once you book this experience, we will send you a confirmation email with a link to join the session. All you need to do is click on the link on the said date and time. Please note that you do not have to download Zoom to access the session, and only need to follow the link on the date and time confirmed. You can access the session from your mobile, laptop or desktop.
