This is an exclusive opportunity for children from two countries to virtually come together, travel and practise their conversational skills without barriers.
Real-world student exchange programs are designed with the purpose of bringing children from two countries together acquainting them with each other’s culture and language. However, student exchange programs have always been limited to those who could afford it. Traditionally, exchange programs are also limited to select short haul countries to contain the overall cost.
Designed around the concept of real-life student exchange programs, Globe From Home’s unique virtual exchange sessions completely eliminates the limitations of conventional programs. Children from different countries can come together irrespective of their geographical co-ordinates (subject to time zones, of course). On these programs the whole group will experience virtual tours of the host country. Besides learning about the local culture and traditions they will practise their conversational skills. More importantly, as is the case with real travel, children will form a bond with each other, making them empathetic global citizens.
Children learning Arabic in western schools can join this program where they will be paired one-on-one with children in Egypt. Lasting an hour each, the sessions are spread over 6 weeks. Each week entails a tour of the respective countries and one on one discussions. For example, if the first session involves a tour of London, the next week is a tour in Egypt.
Below is a summary of the sessions;
Session 1: One-on-one pairing and introductions between children + London walking tour
Session 2: Tour of Luxor + One on one discussions
Session 3: London tour + One on one discussions
Session 4: Tour of the Khan Khalil market + One on One discussions
Session 5: London Tour + One on one discussions
Session 6: Egyptian culinary Tour + Farewell party
