How It Works

Register to Volunteer

Students* in High Schools and Universities, employees in corporations and trained professionals can register their interest to volunteer to teach specific topics/skills required in one of our 'World Schools' around the planet.

You can commit anything from an hour for a stand-alone session to a few hours per week over a course of months for a longer program. For example, High school students volunteering to teach functional English are required to commit 2 hours a week for 3 months whereas a health care professional/ corporate employee can offer a couple of hours of time to teaching specific skills.

*Students who have undertaken Globe From Home’s climate education program can participate in volunteering opportunities for free.

Gain orientation training

Once our team matches your skills with specific subjects/ programs, we provide you with an orientation training that includes

  • Technical skills for providing online mentoring
  • The framework using which you will impart learning
  • An overview of how your work will impact the learners you mentor
  • Safeguarding (Specialist programs require trained professionals whereas more generic programs can be taught by high school students)

Start Volunteering

Once you have gained the necessary orientation, you will be supported by our team to start working with communities around the globe using our virtual platform. High Schools and Corporations taking part in teaching are required to assign a leader who will be in charge of liaising with us on behalf of all their participants.

High school students participating in the teaching programs will gain participation and volunteering certificates which they use to strengthen their resumes for their future.
