World School For The Kichwa community, Eduadorian Amazon

Located deep in the heart of the Ecuadorian Amazon lies Sani Isla…so remote that the nearest town is three hours by motorized canoe. The indigenous Kichwa of Sani Isla have lived in the Amazonian rainforests for thousands of years. In present times deforestation and encroachments from the west have left the Kichwa exposed to a modernised world without the means to deal with it.

Register to volunteer at the Sani Isla Globe From Home World School and share knowledge with the small community of 200 youngsters here.

World School For Korogocho Slums, Kenya

The Korogocho slums (literally meaning shoulder-to-shoulder) is one of the largest slums in Nairobi where 200,000 people live in a cramped 1.5 square kilometres of space. The slums are located right next to Dandora, the largest landfill in Kenya, which has come to become the largest dumping ground, especially for clothes thrown by countries in the Global north. Fires burn constantly in the landfill and the burning synthetic releases toxic fumes that cause health and environmental hazards.

Register to teach children at the Korogocho slums and help the youngsters here to gain skills and knowledge to break the cycle of poverty.

World School For Dhaka, Bangladesh

Rising sea levels and unprecedented rains have led to large parts of Bangladesh being uninhabitable forcing large numbers of climate refugees to seek refuge in the cities. Faced with no prospects for a quality education, youngsters here are being left behind.

Join The Dhaka Globe From Home World School and help youngsters here get access to quality education, skills and eventually find employment.
