Learn how to build your immunity, especially in the current times, with this wellbeing session. In this talk, International Ayurveda teacher and physician Dr. Hari will share practical tips on what lifestyle modifications we can make, and what home remedies we can use to boost our immunity.
Originating in India, the ancient traditional medical science of Ayurveda is a way of life itself, and this session will teach you how to practice this ancient science to live a wholesome life.
Based on natural principles, Ayurveda suggests that our bodies are made up of five basic natural elements- Earth, Water, Fire, Air and Space. A harmony of these elements leads to holistic health whereas any disharmony between these leads to illnesses. We interact with these five elements through our five senses- namely smell, taste, vision, touch and hearing. Our food is also made of these five elements and thus it’s important to understand which food can be wholesome and complete for us based on our own constitution. Ayurveda is essentially holistic as it transcends the bodily realm to encompass the mental and spiritual dimensions. We also come across key and important knowledge here including how to maintain mental health and how to stay spiritually connected.
In this session, Dr. Hari will teach you how to recognise what your body is telling you (based on your body type), and what practices you can adopt daily to keep on top of your wellbeing. You will learn how to use natural home remedies, and ingredients that you can access easily to steadily build your body's immunity. You will gain an understanding of what foods are more appropriate for your body type and will help you stay more energised.
