Duration : 60 mins Max Size : 50 Destination : Germany
Category : International Classroom Exchange Recommended For : Schools
Subject :
This session has a unique focus on building environmental consciousness amongst children. Encouraging children early to recycle teaches them about the importance of sustainability and protecting the planet.
Since 2016 Germany has set an example for the rest of the world by consistently achieving the highest recycling rate in the world. In 2020, 56.1% of all waste produced in the country was recycled. Naturally environmental consciousness is pervasive in school education. On this sessions children from around the world will meet school students in Germany to exchange ideas about recycling.
Students will discuss what measures they engage in their respective schools and also talk about ideas in which we can all be more sustainable. Children will discuss how things that would otherwise be wasted can be repurposed and reused.
Through this session, children will come together to ideate about the planet and, in the process, develop early consciousness about why it's important for people around the world to come together to fight climate change.
These sessions serve to create a unique bond between children from different countries and cultures.
